Taste of Corruption

from Defiant Gifts of Torment by Throne of Anguish

/

lyrics

The carcasses laid bare, like cattle before me
Consuming the life blood, imbibe mortality
Unto the recent fallen, I am their litany…
Devouring their essence, consume vitality

I call on the darkness, for my feeding
I taste corruption, the blasphemies
The weak, a beast of burden, like cattle are the meek
Taking essence from them; beg for sanctity

God is not the one to whom you must pray
Mine is the power of hell, to whom you fall this day!
An offering of flesh, my thrist to slake;
Upraise the chalice of blood; imbibe, exsanguinate
Languid, your soul bereft;
Mine, infernal; damnation - all that's left

Dessication is the banquet of my blasphemy
Only the strong will rise from this hellish feast
Partake of the fruits of disease,
And join the ranks of my hellish army

The carcasses laid bare, like cattle before me
Consuming the life blood, imbibe mortality
Unto the recent fallen, I am their litany…
Devouring their essence, consume vitality

I call on the darkness, for my feeding
I taste corruption, the blasphemies

Dessication is the banquet of my blasphemy
Only the strong will rise from this hellish feast
Partake of the fruits of disease,
And join the ranks of my hellish army
